A friend of mine says the Club will make car thieves pass right by my car, but I think it looks shitty attached to the steering wheel like that. Do you use the CLUB or any other similar metal security restraint in your BMW?

You know, I really hate the club, and practically all security systems. Heck, if a car thief can pick the door lock, or smash the window in, what makes anyone think a lousy piece of junk can stop them? Those stupid alarm lights and clubs are just big signs saying "HEY! look I'm all shiny! TAKE ME!!!" ---no offense to anyone that has either---

ok ill come outta my shelll and explain somethin to you.

lets just say i had a mispent youth. the club on a vehicles steering wheel is not a detterant.. if you have a nice solid pipe you could put it ovr the long end of the club and brake it off its not very hard just requires a little strength. another way to do it is simply just cut the steering wheel. i would never recommend the club for anyone its a waste of money. i speak from experience.

Seriously...if they WANT your car...they're gonna take it no matter what.

But BMW's (i don't think) are not on the "hot list". Stolen cars are mostly used for other crimes and then get ditched...

HOnda's get raped...but i think BMW's are a MORE difficult target i believe. I think.

i also hope. But then again...if they really want it ...you can't stop em.

i use it...i know it wont do shit....but if it takes them 20 seconds to take the club off....that gives me 20 more seconds to catch them or for someone to see them

but at the same time CBA....if you see 2 of the same car side by side, and one has the club and the other doesnt, which one are you going to steal? Why would you spend the extra time fiddling with the club?

I remember this infomercial for a bulletproff club-type mechanism that fits over your pedal so you literally cant GO. The steering wheel IS the weakest part of your car and its supposed to be so when ur in a crash, you dont shadder your face on the wheel. The pedal IS the strongest piece of medal in the car. that is a known fact. Where better to put a security mechanism?? i cant find it and im looking all over the place for it. if anyone knows what it is, please post it! It was red and in the commercial they kept shooting it with a shotty and getting some rent-a-theif try to steal a car with it on
