1987 325e. it has 87K origional miles on it. all service done to the car were performed at the dealership as well. it just has the lame chromies on it which is my only main problem with the car. but i was wondering what i could do for some more performance. nothing too extreme, mainly thinking just bolt-ons. also, anyone have some wheels suggestions? definately planning on changing those things.

Good looking car, I have same year and color. For an E motor a chip would be a great performance boost for very little money. If you find a good way to replace the bumpers from hell, tell me, I'm thinking of buying a body kit, but $1K plus paint and shipping is a little out of my budget. Anyone know if I can bolt on bumpers from later models?

congrats on the car :thumbs a chip would be the best thing to do if you're in search of power, and if you plan on doing alot of track driving or autox you may benefit from a shorter geared differential, but you should try it out first and see if you think its necessary. That car looks like its in great condition so i think you should just keep it looking stock and all original including the diving board bumpers. It cant get better than that imo. But if you hate them that much i wouldnt try tucking them, which alot of people do, cause the plastic bumper swap isnt too hard to pull off.

hrm well i was actually a little off on the miles. exterior of the car i dont plan on changing. i dont think im going to do exhuast on it either just because. and since there arent any bmw tuner shops around here, how would you rate the dinan chip? or is there a cheaper one i could do for less?

ok so we got the car for 3500 :D , and if they were to sell it normally on the lot it would go for 7000. were the second owners that the car has had. we pulled its history and the last time it got serviced was in jan 02, and it was 8K miles ago. we also had 1400 worth of parts put on it as well, for free, including tires and a new radiator. and there were at least 12 other people from the dealership looking to buy it. it was on the lot for 45 minutes before he got it. and they made a new rule that says a car must be on the lot for 30 days before an employee can buy it. and i also found out the call it a "super e" and that it has parts from both the e and the i models. it doesnt have the e after it says 325 as well. so is the same intake manifold as the normal E's?

Got this bad boy for 5k, it was on the lot for 9 days, and 14 people wanted to buy it. THe guy wanted his friend to have it for his son, so he didnt even put it in the dealers inventory, and my dad waslike "i AM going to buy this car", lol. Everything is mint except for the radiator, we just a 4 wheel allignment, and new Dunlops  it runs awesome, and we got some new shock mounts and control arms, things' a beast, I call it the "Red Dragon", and I have never lost a race Once through the canyon that goes to the beach. And I just got a new UUC short shifter with an M3 knob, its so fucking tight.
