Hey guys,

I got 1987 325 vert with an engine that has been replaced.
Here's my question:
Whenever I drive the car, after about 5-10 min on a highway, i feel a sudden loss of power that lasts about .2 of a second (just enough to feel it) and my check flashes (I always have a check for washer fluid as my cable is cut).
I am under impression that all the warning lights have been turned off so who knows what's wrong there, but it did pass CA smog and drives fine.

Anywho, i am afraid to be stuck on a highway because I lost power.
Well, yesterday, when I drove it again, the lights inside the car were flickering and when I finally parked it, the headlights flickered heavily and went back to normal.

Any ideas?

iggy,

try to find out if the motor that was replaced was the correct motor for that make/model/year.

also, like tommy said, check the fuses/relays, then go from there to the alternator. The flickering lights is usually an indicator of a bad alternator or incorrect alternator.

Glad to have you back.

Dave
