I have a 3 series Sportswagon and I can no longer recline my front passanger seat!
it will move forward or backward horizontally, but the back of the chair is stuck in one position (an uncomfortable 90 degree angle). SA Mechanic Friend had explained to me that I needed to remove the seat and replace this small gear or switch that was broken and not allowing the seat to recline. He said it couldnt be the motor because the motor was allowing me to move the other switch that went forward and back. Does anyone know what part it is that I need to buy? He quoted me $35 for the part but I have moved and can no longer reach him. Thanks!
