I think my driver side door lock is causing my car not to start!
For the past three weeks, the my 318i would not start from time to time. Out of the blue, it would just not turn over at all. I would let it sit for a few hours or few days and she would start again.
Battery is new, alternator is fine, no check engine lights, but the car just would not start... not even a sound. Then, today I noticed that the driver side door was unlocked, but the other three were down (locked). Got in the car, tried to start it and NOTHING. Then, I got out, locked the doors with the key (driver side door)... unlocked the damn thing and got back in. Guess what? SHE STARTS!
Oh, and I have no idea how the driver door came to be unlocked.
That's just bizarre. Anyone have a clue why this might be happening?
