I'm thinking about buying a M3 e36 in the next few weeks and I'm just looking for some information and advice. I'm expecting around 100 thousand miles, what kind of stuff should I expect that needs replacing or hope that has already been replaced. Also wondering if there are any kind of electrical or other typical problems with those cars.

I would have to say window regulators. That and keep an eye on the cooling system. Other than that she's a blast to drive. Also you should give me your window switches.

Just test drove an M3 yesterday. It was a '95 and the owner said something about the 95 being the best year of the e36's, is there any difference between the 95 and the 96-99?

probably will be a number of works need to be done if you are getting an E36 M3
