[95BMW525i]

hey everybody, I have a 95 525i, a while ago, my door handle stopped working from the inside on the drivers' door, I finally decided to see what the problem was, I took the door panel off and saw the bowden cable broke right at the hook for the outside latch, the problem is, how in the hell am I supposed to see where that is? Is there an easy way to find/get to it, or do I have to take the whole window assembely out? Is there a pic of the door showing you where the hook is suppossed to go?
