was wondering if anyone knows about the tranny for my e36 5 speed..
all of a sudden the stick shift has gotten very loose and to grab reverse i really have to force it would you say something is loose or is the tranny going bad..the clutch is fine ,,or maybe it lost oil in the tranny but i dont see no oil leaks.....

I would say that it is your shift linkage - the pin that links your gear stick to the rest of the assembly. I had mine go out on me, thank god, right outside a dealership...

Get it checked before it completely goes and you cant change any gears!
