I have a 2002 525i. The alarm is disabled and I can't figure out how to arm it. I tried doing everything in the manual and nothing is working...any suggestions?

You may be on the hunt for a bad door, trunk/boot lid or hood/bonnet switch. Most (likely all) alarms won't arm if something seems to be open.
