Hello all BMW owners, I need some help, insight, suggestions, anything. My airbag light is on along with abs, dsc, asc+ t and service engine soon. This car was in an accident but airbags did not deploy. It was hit front left. I am stumped as where to look for a defect with the airbag light. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for anyone's help.

First, try disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery in the trunk. Let the car sit for a few minutes like this. After a few minutes put the negative terminal back on and see if the lights on your dash go off. In theory this should reset the cars on board electronics. If this doesn't work you might need to go to the stealership and have them look at it.

I did that and there is no change. I would go to the dealer but its 200 km away from where I live. So I would either have to tow it or rent a car transport from u-haul to haul to them. Any other ideas out there? Please help...

I have a faulty airbag sensor in my passenger seat which the dealership is going to fix. Perhaps the accident caused a similar malfunction?

it could also be the seatbelt tensioner. my airbag light is on because the drivers seatbelt tensioner needs to be replaced.

my airbag light was on due too a bad ignition switch located under the steering wheel. Aslong as everything is connected right it should work. It also fixed the tranmission warning I got too.
