I am looking for parts for 1997 328is. I was wondering what the best deals/brands are on the following parts: intake, exhaust, chip, and angel eyes.

best is gonna be dinan and hamann on most things but there expensive. the best chip is a Conforti chip

i am looking into a conforti intake right now. their adverts say they have a better filter system w/ their strange little sponge, versus the paper cone.

also, i hear that conforti has the best performance and bang for your buck. however, a dinan chip won't void a bimmer warranty though. but if you are '97 you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Intake would probally be ECIS/Conforti. There really isn't a big diffrence between intake brands and performance.
Exhaust would be Supersprint by far.
The general 3 series conforti software isn't that great at all IMO.

call up eurospeed or shoot him an email. Site is www.eurospeedperformance.com Hes easy to talk to, just ask him what you want to achieve and what he thinks about it. You can do their manifold kit like i did, you won't regret it, i sure didn't.

i'm in the same market as u....i've been looking at reviews....and triflow seems to best for exhaust....and conforti or dinan (if u want to spend that much) for intake....any objections to that?....when i but my intake should i buy the chip too?

Where did you see that the tri-flow is a good exhaust, that is probally the worst performing exhaust on the market. To get that throaty sound, the first thing they have in the muffler is this nice big baffle.
Like i said before, all the intakes are going to be within 2 hp of eachother. On my AA intake, when i had it on the dyno i completely removed the intake filter, having no restrictions at all and saw maybe 1-2 hp incrase that only showed up between like 400 rpm in my topend.

As long as you have a heat shiled, there really isn't that much diffrence in a performance aspect. Dinan is a nice solid CF which is placed near the brake duct so it draws in cold air from underneath and doesn't need a heat shield. Sinces its solid CF it will cost more b/c of cost of supllies to make it and Dinan name. That is why it costs so much more than other intakes. Most other home made or short intakes don't have a heat shiled so they just suck in mainly hot air from the engine bay, not cool air from the outside. Colder air is more dense and contains more o2 than warmer air. This is espically noticeble at stops.
