I don't think any of these V8 cars in this video have any thing to fear of those 4 bangers. http://www.fatalfoo.com/Movies/Unplugged.wmv As a warning to those of you that live in northern cali beware of any F-body that has a small sticker in the back window that reads NORCAL-LS1. 85%-90% of our active members run in the low to mid 12's and the rest are either in the low 13's or 11's or faster.

Keep in mind as well, that there were at least 3 cars faster than mine. :D


EDIT: Just clicked in my head that you were talking about the vid I haven't watched. ;)

Edit 2.0: Watched the vid, and aside from the GN and the numerous strip only cars, I wouldn't back down from any of the "street modified" cars. :)

All but the #1 and 2 cars are driven on a daily basis. Also these are only the official paid members times, we have quite a few people that post and hang out with the club but are not an official member.

The top 6-10 are probably slicks but the rest are either dragradials or street tires. When I had my old Z28 I was able to squeeze a 2.1 60' on 245/50/16 street tires. Most of the people on the list have an auto trani with a stall converter, that combined with a set of DR's is good for 1.6 60's. My friend was able to get a 1.55 60' with a converter, gears, and DR's.

the guy with the twin turbos stickin out of his hood might want to put a screen or something over those turbo inlet nozzles... if he gets a hunk of road or whatever in that, his turbos are so toast.

Those are the nitrous inlets. That was a dry kit cause it was before the MAF most people in the club with those can only safely run a 125HP shot. If you want to run anything bigger than that you need to do a wet kit. Hopefully my friend will be done with the second one soon. I would also like to thank you for spelling Camaro correctly, most people spell it CamEro which drives me up the wall. Its like spelling bimmer, beemer. I know there is a beemer spelling that is reference to the motorcycles which most people don't realize.

Yeah, almost all of the cars on the list are daily driven. Even the top 2 could be driven with zero problems but I think with any car that gets into that 130+mph and 10sec range it becomes kinda of a pain to drive.

Most LS1s can be made to run 11s on slicks/Drag Radials with JUST the addition of a nitrous kit. To do it naturally aspirated takes a lil more work. It took me a full head and cam kit with huge stall converter to run the 11.65 (no nitrous) in the list. My old combo went [email protected] on nitrous but sucked all motor. Hell my stupid automatic Vette would run 123-124mph with just a nitrous kit and the thing only has exhaust mods and an air filter. :driving

Do you know what most of those DSMs run? They are pretty potent cars with the right mods. It is one of the few cars I fear on the street when I was running slicks or DRs because of that satan spawned AWD!!! What mods do you have Lando?

To get even I was forced to by a big heavy 4x4 so I could launch in 4wh hi on bottle. Now I just need to install the 150hp wet-kit, figure out how to handle 1.7-1.6 60' worth of TQ steer and find me some MILD Talon/Eclipse/WRXs :)

Chris used to race that on the streets BEFORE he put Bob Reiger's old motor in there. Now it is track only for the most part since breakage is too expensive.

His final standings for 03' Heavy Street for the PSCA was 3rd place (best of [email protected] in Phoenix), just in front of my buddy Rocky (best [email protected]), which is awesome for making 1/2 the races.

The turbo ones at the meet were all 13s or better...on in high 10s, me somewhere in the 11s based on my mods rather than a set of traps. I'll have to bench-race until the tracks open back up, and I get the repairs done to the car.

At the end of the video, the way the music was and the way it was showing everyone's faces i expected it to say "R.I.P." or something lol

I saw that Buick with the Twin Turbo on a video taking a dyno test, I think it got 1076, and completely filled the room with smoke. I recognize that car because I can see the turbos through the hood, and because of the exhaust pipes coming right out the side. That car is bitching

Yeah, it spun the tires on the rollers that why it filled the room with smoke. You should see it run it person :rock

I still think its funny when a "ricer" puts a spoiler on a FWD car... these people are geniuses.

As for speed, I can't really say much, my car is a beast with a smogged engine.
