Recently the car will stall as I come to a stop. It seems to happen when the car is idling and not in gear. Any ideas/suggestions? A friend told me that it may be a clogged vent under the gas cap. If this is possible, how do I access it to find out?
i have the same issue everynow and then, usually when im gassing hard then stopping fast, think it has to do with the air to gas ration and a small air leak,There is a small setting screw on the side of the intake manifold that I adjusted ever so slightly and it increased the idling slightly.
Gassing and stopping fast did also produce the problem for me ... but I have had no more problems since adjusting the small adjusting screw which is situated where the throttle cable is connected to the throttle arm on the top right side of the inlet manifold as viewing the motor from the front.i have the same issue everynow and then, usually when im gassing hard then stopping fast, think it has to do with the air to gas ration and a small air leak,
where exactly is that screw you speak of,
also, if you start it does it shutter a lil bit upon ignition ?
im thinking that it has to do with the same airleak
