Please help! My car sometimes wont start it will turn over but it wont fire. and when its on it runs fine. and i know when it wont start cuz a certain light on the indash doesnt come on when i have the key turned. the car also surges if it doest want to start for a while. if you guys have any ideas please let me know!

What's the condition of the fuel filter? Could there be water in the fuel?

umm not sure how can i check? I got her back in feb of this year and put just reg gas in at first and noticed it started to sound different, so i started to put the premium gas in and it sounded normal again. and after that, thats when i started to have starting issues

If the filter is old and dirty, change it. Water would run through and clear out, but you'd wanna find out how it got there to stop it happening again.
