Hi
I know nothing about cars, engines and all that( use to be those sports people all my friend and I talk about is sports) anyway I got my 94 325is 3 or 4 month ago and as I start get more involved about bmw cars I know my favoriet bmw class car will be the m3 but I can't not affort an m3 in my life so I figure I will get an 325 or 328 maybe the 318 but my friend told me don't get the 318 cause is too small. before I get my 94 325is I have hard time to come up with the money to buy any bmw cars. eventruelly I got my first bmw and its the 325is, as I read the bmw magazine every day I found out you can mod you car, so now I want to mod my 94 325is to an m3 I know is going to cost lots of money so I am probrably just going to get the front bumper and the rear bumper, I don't know how to change the side skirts because it seem the side skirts is attach something(don't know how to explain) and to me if you want to change the side skirts you have take a large part out. now I only put on a m badge( after I read some of the common on forums) I try to take the m badge off my non-m bmw and just get the bumpers but I can't, its really sticky for some reason I pay $50 for it, any way should I get the m3 front bumper and rear bumper with the m badge on my car? I know you would say no cause is a 325is not a m3 but.....you know. last thing anything I can mod on engines or anything on the 94 325is body, interior? if I can,how do I mod? my first thought is go to the dealer but I don't know if is right? please tell me thanks

p.s. I don't go around and tell people I drive a m3, people just look at my car and the badge and think I drive a m3, its not like I want to show off or something, its just I am m3 crazy!

thanks for the patient to read my story or questions whatever you thinking this is.

you can do many different mods to your car. first of all bmw puts the intake in this box in your engine, which you can replace with a cold air intake(about 10 or so hp gain) you can also upgrade the exhaust to a louder and lighter one(about 5 or 6 hp gain) there are many suspension upgrades that can be done also. you can upgrade your headers(about 20 to 30 hp gain) just check out the faq section for a lot of links to companies who sell these types of things. you should also check out ebay, theres a lot of good deals there.

you can order all m tech parts from bavauto.

I would remove the m badge, but thats just me. If you get the other m parts i guess you can leave it. Also, the person who told you the 318 is smaller was wrong; all 3 series are the same size, just different engines.

thanks guys, I got one question for bimmer 328issss, what is headers?
ill answer this one if bimmer doesnt mind. headers is what collects the waste exhaust from the engine bay and sends it to the exhaust system (well technically it is the first part of your exaust system) intake manifold collects air from outside and sends it to each individual combustion chamber, when that chamber combusts the exhaust gasses are send the other way OUT the exhaust manifold or headers if you wanna call them that.

it also helps to use a hair dryer. Heat the badge up to loosen the adheasive and it should fall off on its own or make the dental floss method much, much easier.

oh and yeah, you can put headers on yourself, well I would at least, because my BMW dealership is a bunch of crooks and they would charge about 300 labor, and make me buy the parts through them.

thanks for the advice about the header but I am probrably not going to get the header, they cost $500-$1000! I already get the rear and front bumper plus the paint job on the bumpers and the side skirt, I am pretty much broke, anyway can you guys explain to me how to install the air intake? it seems pretty hard cause I saw one of the pipe have to connected to the bottom of the engine and that is where I get confuse.

ok, to the front right side of the car, under the hood you will see a big black box. That is where your new intake wil go. You have to un-bolt that black box, and then all you do is push the intake onto the air sensor, and tighten the clamp. its very simple
