I just ordered new headlights for my '93 325i E36 from http://www.autodynamic.com

http://216.82.69.117/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID...B39298PHBC-4-AR

the about link is to the headlights i ordered.

http://www.autodynamic.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=HH-H7

the above link is the link to the H7 wire harness which i ordered as well.

Would i have needed this harness? i think i would've because i don't think that the stock harnesses would support the H7 bulbs that are coming with the headlights.

Also, can anybody give me a link that shows how to swap headlight wire harnesses?

Also, has anybody ordered these?

*edit*

I'm not sure right now but, did i have to order one harness for each headlight?

Or do i only need one harness?

i know for the angel/demon eyes you need some kind of wiring setup. but the headlights and turn signals SHOULD be the same

EDIT: hope this helps

Lights off with flash on camera.

Lights off with flash on camera.

I think this is the way it is when just the driving/parking light is enabled.

Regular Low Beam.

High Beam.

High Beams...

turned out pretty good.... We just need to aim/adjust the headlights better by a shop, but we did it pretty good ourselves.

too lazy to take better day pics cause i was in a rush and car was in driveway and it was hard to get an angle to take a pic of the front...

The angel eyes are off all the time unless you have like your Parking lights on, Low Beam, and High Beam.

thats just as close as you can get to just having the angel eyes on.

the inner lights seen on cause they have 2 bulbs in there. One is for the High Beam, and a small one for i guess just driving/parking lights...

The Angel Eyes were spliced into the corner lights.

I'm not sure if there is a way to have just the angel eyes, i guess it depends on how you wire it.

hows the quality of these? I want a pair, but only if they arent shitty. Also, can you notice a big improvemnt in light output? Mine suck right now.

Also, how hard are they to wire? I dont want to do a bung of splicing that other kits dont require.

Well, on mine they were basically plug and play.

The only things you had to really do were:

Connect the adapter to the headlights to connect to the factory plugs.

Splice the Angel Eye wire with the corner light which is quite easy done in less than a minute for both.

It comes with a clip that splices them for you, and you just snap the clip so it locks, tightly.

If you've ever removed your corner lights, they are held in by "tension" clips.

These are like really hard to get off once you put them on... And if you make a mistake and want to get it off, do it slowly, my brother broke a clip...

Its two seperate clips that are parallel to eachother.

Even with one clicp broken, its still pretty sturdy, doesn't seem like it'd come off.

And it was sorta color coded.

If you pop open your hood, and you look at the back of your headlights, you'll see a wire come out from it, that wire has a connector on the end of it, which is connected to another connector and they are color coded.

So is the one that i ordered. basically, plug and play.

The hard part is just to level and aim your headlights.

If you look at the last pic, kinda blurry i know, i was in a rush as well, haha...

Thats pretty far i guess, but it can go further.. i think...

Also, you can use your stock harness...

No "hard" splicing required.

The H7 bulbs that are included are only 55w.

So no biggie on getting a new harness and splicing it.

I ordered it because I thought i was going to need one.

But i didn't.
