Hello everyone. I have a 2002 530. Hood does not release correctly.
I have already replaced the first cable that connects to the release handle.
The hood still will not release.
I can get the hood up if I pull very hard while my helper pulls the leaver.
When hood is up and lever is pulled, I can see the bar in the latch move to drivers side of car in both latches.
I have had the car for a year and the safety latch has never popped out of grill when I pull the lever. I have always had to pull it out.
Is there a DIY on this forum to guide me in replacing the other cables and the latches?
