Hi,
I have changed the vibration damper, and the Tensioner. Right after changing them, I start hear like squeak on the start, and the consumption of the diesel went up. Specially at pickup, the car consumes too much diesel, it goes up to 20 l/ 100 , where it used to be around 10. I also smells unburned diesel when idle. The dealer thought it is the PRESSURE CONVERTER and the Fuel hose to be changed !! does it make sense ?

Your problem, could it be anything to do with the aux. heater that comes on in cold weather to heat the cabin? If that was faulty it might be just squirting oil with no ignition.,

I am trying to find out how to switch mine off., so that I can get decent mpg on short journeys.
