IMO, 325 auto = civic Si manual
325 manual > civic Si manual
hmm this race should be interesting... considering its A 4 CYL VS A 6!
hey ritch, are you looking to race a civic si?
what a silly question. im not gonna dignify this with an answer. <_< :p   B)

woobiee are you high?
which Si are you talking about ? the SIR? or the SI?

edit* never mind i just re-read the first question. in both accounts the 325 would win guys. dont make me dig for figures here :D
civic has 160hp in the Si. so no contest. of course you can't go 45mph in first gear like the civic :p
thats what i was wondering... cuz this dumbass says he would beat my 325 in his civic..... god honda you suck
Sounds to me like a race that would ultimately be dicided by driver skill and not hp/torque numbers.
dun dun dun...
A civic Si is roughly 2800 lbs. Its a 1.6 liter, not 2.3 inline 4 cylinder. Find out what engine he has. If it is the d16a or the b16a. One has 108 hp and the other has 170hp and 110 ft/lbs of torque. This is due to compression, head design and VTEC. Its all high end power, the powerband starts at 6000 and ends at 7600. Your 325is is 3080 lbs and is a 2.5 liter inline 6 with 188 hp and 181 ft/lbs of torque. All of this is mid rev power, from 4100-5900 rpms. This race will all lie with who has better gearing and whos a better launcher. Youll get him off the start though, no question about it. He may pull past you in 3rd though

really? very interesting. I would think that the BMW would turn that Si into mincemeat...........even a 318 would have a chance....but it is light

naw 318 would have almost no chance of winning. In a straight line that is, bring in the curvies and i dont know what would prevail, the better suspension and RWD or the power. 318 methinks

is your car a e36 or e46 because the e46 2.5 is a "quicker" engine
hah you guys were waayyyyy wrong... first off its a 2k3 civic si with a 2.3 liter and i beat the shit out of him... 2 car lengths then 3 the whole time.... but all what you guys said is what i thought would happen...

e36 speedster
Sorry to say but honda never has and most likely never will make a 2.3 liter engine. they have made in the past and currently a 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.0, 2.2, 2.5(acura), 3.0, and 3.5 (acura)

The only engines that come in civics were 1.5, 1.6, and 2k3s have 1.7L. The SI hatches have 2.0 liters

You could be driving an F1, bog the launch, grind into second, and that Si will have beat you down like a red headed step child.

Fox - Good call.

here guys, I think I know my hondas pretty well.

Honda Civic Si (old version, the ones that are equipped in hatchbacks) 108hp

Newer Honda Civic SI 127hp

Honda Civic SIR (not the SI but the SIR) has 160.

if you are racing an SIR you won't have much of a chance, the car is really light and once they hit 3rd gear along with V tec, he's gone

your 325 has 184hp - 189hp depending on the year.
