hey guys

I got my 94 318i e36 for my first car about 4 months ago and a few weeks ago it had trouble starting up. It always starts in the end, but takes about 4 tries to get it going. Instead of me describing the problem, just take a look at these videos on two separate occasions.

It does it mostly when its cold, however still does it sometimes when its hot, and there are times when it starts first time.

I'm a poor uni student and can't exactly afford to send it off and get it looked at professionally, so i'm really hoping you guys can help.

I don't know too much about cars, however i am keen to learn, but my uneducated guess would be the starter motor, however i could be wrong.

I have the exact same problem than you. I can't help you neither since I also think it's a starter motor problem, maybe it's electrical of simply the gearing ... who knows. Please someone reply because this problem is annoying as hell, mostly when people in a car park are looking at you having trouble with your BMW.
