I have a 2004 318i that I am wanting to put m52b25 into and i am wondering how hard this would be to do and what i might be needing to be able to do said swap, i have majority of the accessories there including the loom, ecu, maf sensor, engine mounts and ac adapter/connector. car is an automatic if that helps at all

Cheers in advance for any help!

If you're going that route, may I suggest the M54B30? Lot more power for the money. You'd need to swap over all the electrics from the doner car unless you delete the EWS.
Will also need the 330 brakes as they're bigger discs.
Deffo dooable, but not a weekend job! Good luck.
How to start?
I'm a horse power junkie, love tourqe more.
Just purchased 2004 325i, old school. Great style car.
I'm a weirdo, love 3-5 thousand horsepower pro mod stuff.

Dreams I'll never have.
Daily driver, this is OK. Comfy. Sturdy....important, no squeaks or rattles.

Question:
What's the best resource to increase bore/ stroke of engine and add a turbo? These japaneses imports will get blown away if I have my way.

Please advise. BMW rocks!

So does pro mod...6 second stuff. I can't hold onto my drink going that quick. 😩

Thanks for responding.
I worry about head bolt, cylinder head tourqe. Turbo and supercharger rules.
I want a daily beast driver, quiet , girls wanna know u.

My stuff can't break. It better perform! No NOS.

Thanks for your time.
I'm learning this car and engineering, knowingly this car can still kick ass, clean emissions.

Boring and stroking probably not a good idea due to the way BMW line their blocks. Could possibly ovebore and sleeve but not good idea imho. Turbo doable as you are left hand drive. If it was me, I would go down the supercharger route. Have a look on ECS Tuning website. 300hp quite achievable this way. Make sure engine in good enough conditon before you start any mods. Check out the 50's Kid on YouTube for DIY videos.

Good luck
