My 99 540i jumped time breaking most of the chain guide rails and cracking the timeing cover, and atleast 1 tensioner is scored from being hit by the chain. My question is how much damage could have been done other than what I mentioned can the guides tensioners and cover get replaced and all be fine, or is there most likely more damage inside the engine.

There could be damage inside the engine as well.
