on my stock 93 318i i have 15 in rims with 205 60 r15 tires. i wanna buy some stock rims from a 06 5251. they are 225 50 r17 tires. will they fit on my car with no issue or will it casue rubbing and such? please help me out with this. im new to bmw and dont know much about wheels and tires. thanks.:conf

Well the bolt pattern is a start, but I really dunno size wise. Also, I'm not sure the torque output of the 1.8 would take to the heavier set very well.

Should Fit Like A Glove Dude.
I Got 205/45/17 On Mine.
The 205 is Width,
45 Is The Depth (How Skinny)
Higher Number The Better
Could Get 20s On The E36 if You Wanted.
Might Be Useful To Put Wheel Spacer's Though Mate, As You Will Get A Bit Of Rub
20 mm Spacers Would Be Best, You Will Also Need Longer Bolts Aswell.
17 Should Be Ok On The Arches, Depend's How Low You Are, Nothing A little Tack Weld Can't Sort Out Mate.
It May Very Slightly Slow You Acceleration, Due To The Width, But Will Look S**t Hot.

225/45 would be the correct size ... the tire size you have means the overall diameter is a whole inch larger so your speed will be way off (if you can get them on there without rubbing etc).
