Hey, The E30 M3 is an awsome car!! but I hear that it cost alot for the "up keep". I am planning on getting one in about a month or two. Prices very from 7k to all the way to 16k. Look to spend about 10k-12k for a pretty nice one. good Luck!

Try and get one with some history.
Check for rust round the scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen, and around the rear number plate lights.
Check the inner wings and for creases & under the fuse box and expansion tank.
Engines are generally strong but need to have been looked after, same for transmission and diff.

These cars are getting on a bit now so no doubt it will require some maintanence, there not the cheapest of car to run, but they are one of the best drivers cars there is.

If you have got any particular question you want answered I will do my best to help

if u like E30 styling then the 325is will be a much better bet. the E30 M3 isnt the perfect car (to an average person) by a long shot, but it is a car enthusiasts dream machine. the 325is has styling almost as good styling, good power, rides smoother, and will be less costly to maintain. if ur one of those ppl who want a E30 M3 cuz its cheap and has a M badge to show off, then you probably wont appreciate it like it should and get mad when u have to dump major $$$ into it
