Hello-

I am in the market for a 95-97 3 series and i have some questions for you. I was wondering if i should try and stick with a lower mileage BMW (50-70) or if i will have no problems getting a used 3 series with 80-100+ miles on it. Im looking to stay under $10,000. If you have any advice for me regarding what to look for when shopping for a used Beamer please let me know.

First off, BMW cars are Bimmers, BMW motorcycles are Beemers. Secondly, my 93 325is had 98,xxx miles on it, got it for $9,500, and it ran fine. Just needed a new Guibo bushing and a Service 1. I seriously think that if you take good car of them, BMW's will go 200K miles.

my friend as a 1985 325e E30 which has 250,000 miles on it and it STILL runs fine. i was astonished.

also i know a dude wit 640000kms which is 300000miles i think and he still have the stock battery in the thing

its all about the condition.

A car with 150,000 miles could be in better shape then a car with 30,000 miles.

if the carfax checks out and u keep up with the servicing theyll run well over 200k. just watch out for vanos and waterpumps on E36's
