I have a 323 totally stock, and it seems like 0-60 5 seconds flat... but then again it COULD just be my adrenaline ;) Either way, it FEELS fast and that's good enough for me. (The higher the 2nd number in the 3 series, the larger the engine I'm told, so 325 is larger engine than 323, Correct me if I'm horrendously wrong)

ahhh, 5 seconds is krazzy bro... that's running it close on an M3 even...my vr4 stock would only do it in 5.5, and that's before any mods with an AWD launch 320hp.. supercharged or turbo charged 325i will probably hit low 6's..

lol 5 seconds, i thnk he was beign sarcastic, and from the lack of knowledge on BMW ###'s, i think he is a tid bit unsure of his time....usually the lower number is given by BMW, they claim an e46 runs at 4.6, but elswhere i hear stock is 4.8

BMW tends to underrate their speeds, or attain them without dogging the hell out of the car.

And as for the 323/325, its the same size engine. But its easier to sell a 323 and 328 than a 325 and 328.

The time on a 325 hovers around 7, depending on launch and tranny.

Okay... you guys are, like, very informative.
The question... 0-60 and 1/4mile times for the 325 are... ...
0-60: 7.4seconds (5.7on an m3)
1/4mile: 15.6seconds (14.3 on an m3) And the two numbers after
the e, isn't how fast it goes. It's like the design model numer. The base
primary design(or the e12 can do 0-60 in 1.2seconds? or 12seconds?)
and basically, the higher numbers after the 3, like 23, 25, 28, means it's
a bigger car. And in most cases(note the most, not all, bmw is weird like
that) it's how big the engine is. 323, 2.3ltr engine. 325, 2.5ltr engine. etc.
Hopefully this is somewhat informative to your needs. Peace :rock

No, the higher numbers do not denote a larger car. The 325 and 328 have th same wheelbase, only different engines. The size of the car remains the same. A 316 and an M3 are the same size, wheras you say they should be the smallest and largest. But thanks for being informative.

I'm for certain that the 323's and 325's have a 2.5 Liter engine, the 328 has a 2.8 and the 330 has a 3.0 liter; all are 6 cyls.
