I don't know what TP stands for but when it is turned on your radio will tune to traffic reports when they are broadcast and tune back to CD or other radio station you where listening to when done.
Pretty simple mate, once you remove the covers from inside the boot you will see, from memory 3 or 4 screws that you just screw out, the lights will pull out once these are screwed off. Disconnect the cable pin. You might have to pull a bit hard to take it off as it has been there for a while. They tend to stick on a bit, there is no clips or anything you have to worry about, just the cable pin.
My cd player was ripped out/stolen so i want install a car computer. i want to use the head unit to play sound via the aux in connection where the cd was . How do i get the radio to know that an audio input is connected via the cd input box in the boot?

I have just purchased a 1998 540i with 77000 miles and it came with no books so I don't have a clue as to how the car operates. It is extremely difficult to find an owners maanual.If I find one I will post.
I am new to bimmerwerkz i have a 1997 528i original radio. my Fm when i turn it on will play for awhile then it will start to sound staticy and then the fm will go off. i can go to am and listen to stations. when i put back on fm it will take awhile before the fm station will come back on. Help! or suggestions?
Can anyone help with the problem of unamplified sound in my 2000 528i w/nav/dsc?
