Struts and shocks with M-Sport

I have a 2011 BMW 335i E93 (convertible) with the M-Sport package. I have a couple of questions as follows:

What specifically am I looking for in struts and shocks to ensure they will fit the same as the original?

Is it just the spring that makes the difference between Non-sport and M sport?

I am looking for a decent set, a step above OEM. What would you recommend based on my using this as a weekend driver, non track. I like to push it a bit but mostly after ride quality.

Thanks for any help,

Merritt

Check with Bavarian Autosport. They have been my preferred auto parts supplier for my BMWs for decades. I recently purchased shocks for my X3. The Bilstein B4 OE Replacements worked well for me while the Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks are the performance upgrade. They have OEM and performance replacement options for springs, too. Their customer service is also very helpful and DIY instructions and videos are superb. Good luck.
