I am pretty new to this, and apologize for my ignorance, because I am just taking care of my son's 96 328i for now.
How do I know this car is of OBD1 or OBD2? I encountered to this definition while trying to resolve the airbag light on problem.
On the related issue,my son said that when a new heavy/big guy sat on the front passenger seat a while ago, it triggered air bag light on and stays on since. If the problem is due to the buckle or seat sensor, are these broken or needed to be reset?
Since I don't have the stock radio/CD/Stero, will I be able to reset by disconnecting the battery and connecting again unless those seat sensors are not broken, without causing any harm to the electrical system?
