Homecoming 2008

It's time to start packing (lightly of course) for the last Homecoming for Z's at the BMW factory in Greer, SC. We're excited to be going, especially since this will be the the final event as Z4 production moves to Germany. Any recommendations on favorite restaurants in the area? Or sites not on the tourist maps that one shouldn't miss? And of course---speed traps to avoid?

Homecoming dates

Roadster Homecoming is Labor Day weekend, Aug 29-31 in Greer, SC. The NC Apple Festival will be going on in nearby Hendersonville, NC that weekend and on Labor Day. The NC Mountain State Fair runs Sept. 5-14 in Fletcher, NC, between Asheville and Hendersonville, just off I-26. (just down the street from Fletcher BMW)

Hmm well I don't have a Z but I'd be tempted to drive my 7 up there just to look at all the purty cars...

Yes I hear it is a terrifically fun time. Sadly, too many other things are scheduled at thhat tie to allow me to drive down into "Z-land". SIGH.

Take lots of pics and post them please! I will watch from afar...
