HELP!!! Roof won't go up and it is about to rain!!

Hey guys,

I have a '03 Z4 and The roof is stuck in a down position, Is there a way to get it back up manually? Or is there a trick to getting the roof back up that I am unaware of? Any help here would be great thanks!

sorry delayed reply... you must've gotten rained on by now :-(

but there is an emergency handle u can pull to release the top from the motor drive so you can affix your top in place.

Excellent!! Thanks, Where would I find the emergency handle? I was able to get the roof back up with the motor. I ended up waiting on it and trying about an hour later when it was safely parked in the garage. It went up very slowly, But it went up.

Thanks!

in your luggage compartment, take out the trim on the left side and it should expose your hydraulic unit.

Open the emergency valve and turn COUNTERCLOCKWISE half turn... that depressurizes the hydraulic system and henceforth can be operated by hand.

* If yours is equipped with the newer hydraulic system, there is a provision for checking the hydraulic fluid- lack of hyraulic fluid jst might be the prob u have ;-)
