z3 coupe seats

Hey guys, i have some play in my seats like they tend to slide forward and backward freely so i was wondering if this is a common problem or if anyone knows of a fix for this?
Also my passenger seat is higher than my drivers seat yet the control on the seat wont let the passenger seat go down. is the switch just broken or does that seat not go up and down?

sounds like a broken switch as far as the passenger seat goes. I have a z3 roadster and the passenger seat does go up and down. with the drivers seat. i would try tighting the bolts going to the floor. if they seem tight check the tracks on the seat and make sure that is not where the play is.

i actually fixed the problem, the problem came from the motor being off its track.
