water in trunk

My 99 Z3 gets some water inside the trunk compartment when driving in a medium rain. It seems to be coming in around the access to the third brake light on the decklid. Any suggestions for solving this?? There is no liner (like on the floor of the compartment) on the decklid interior.

This problem usually stems from either a bad trunk seal or the convertible top drains being clogged. Try doing a search and I think you will find a few threads that address this issue. Good luck.

There is a gasket between the light and the trunk lid. That's where mine leaks and I am going to replace it as soon as it comes in. Part is less than $10.
