Driving to work the other morning, I had the unfortunate luck of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. 4:40 a.m. on my way to work, a rather large racoon darted out in front of me; despite HEAVY braking, I passed over the poor animal. As soon as I pulled over to asses the situation, I discovered the front of the Z4 suffered a little impact damage. I broke the clip that secures the front molding to the fender (only drivers side), and also managed to shear the rivets that mount the lower grill into the molding. I was able to use some zip-ties to secure things enough to get back home. I have acquired a new clip, but the rivets are still needed. My question is whether there are rivets available from a good hardware store (or similar business) that can be used without paying the price for these at the dealership..?
Not sure what type of rivets theses are....
Thanks for reading my post!
