I have a 1999 Z3 Roadster. Most everytime I try lower or rise the top it doesn't always work like it use to. I have to sometimes work the switch back and forth, but I'm not sure that it is the switch. To lower the top there are at least 4 things that are working to lower the top. 1. The brake must be pressed. 2. The front of the top must be folded back a little before it will engage. 3. The switch must be engaged to lower. 4. The motor to lower the top has to get voltage to it. Once the brake is pressed and the first part of the top is folded back then the switch should send voltage to the motor to lower. I need to check to see if voltage is getting to the motor. Does anyone know where the motor is located and how to get to it or a place I can connect a meter to check for voltage? Also does anyone know how to remove the switch from the center console?
