Help/Advice 2003 Z4 Power Window Cable Broke

Hello, The passenger window of my Z4 failed yesterday. I took off the door skin and noticed a broken cable - feeds into a white bushing with a spring (in the middle of the door)... Ithink this is the cable that pulls the window down?

Question is - are there any schematics? Is this a DIY job or a bite the bullet and take to the dealer job? Can you replace just a cable? Any advice would be appreciated...

This is a common problem in all BMW's, you will need a window regualtor. Replacing the regualtor isn't anything crazy but getting the correct window adjustments can be tricky after, if you don't feel confident in doing it bring it to the dealer because if you don't get those adjustments just right you will have water leaks, wind noises, etc which in the long run will cost you much more.
