New co-owner of a 2001 Z3 5-speed. It's in pretty good shape and I love the way it drives. I've driven a truck all my life, so this is the first time I'm having a TON of fun driving.
We got this car for a song, so I expect to keep it for a while. That said, my background is maintaining Fords and Chevys. What should i look for on this car? What are some known issues to stay on top of?
Currently, it's got 112K miles. The oil light seems to come on after running for a while. We even had the dealer top off all fluids, yet the oil light continues to come on intermittently. Anything else I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance guys! I was super active on Explorerforum when I had one. At the time of purchase, I didn't even know how to change my own oil. I drove it through 165K miles, and modded the heck out of it (Spring over Axle, lifted spindles, competition-level audio, improved intake system, etc). I look forward to being active here too.
