2002 x5

Hi everyone, this is a great forum you have here.

My question is as follows:

My sister is interested in buying an X5... while I am reasonably good with vehicles and can spot a bad problem here or there, I have no experience with newer BMWs.

The one she is looking at is:

2002 BMW 3.0i
31K miles
Auto
AWD
Air Conditioning, Premium Wheels, Power Steering, Telescoping Wheel, AM/FM Stereo, Premium Sound, ABS (4-Wheel), Power Door Locks, Multi Compact Disc, Integrated Phone, Dual Power Seats, Running Boards, Power Windows, Cruise Control, Cassette, Dual Front Air Bags, Front Side Air Bags, Leather, Moon Roof

Any info on things to look for?

How are these reliability-wise? Is a price of $29,000 decent, or should I be shooting much lower?

Thanks a lot guys, appreciate it.

MadBMW is an unknown quantity at this point
I can't speak for how reliable the X5 is, but my M3 has a 117K on it and it is a 97 and it will still throw your head back and I have had very minor problems with it. As for the price, I am looking at getting a 2001 for 19K and it has 90k on it, so I would say that the price range is good. If it is the list, you can expect 2k off of the asking price.
