Looking to buy 05 X3

Hey, I'm looking to buy a 05 X3, either the 2.5 or the 3.0. There going for around $30-$35,000 Canadian. Is there anything that I need to be aware of? Anything I should look for. I don't know anything about these vehicles so any input would be great. Also what is the gas consumption like?
Thanks.

I actually recently purchased one, and I'm very happy with it. If you go with the 2.5 route, you'll save a little on gas, but sacrifice a lot of performance. The 3.0i is much faster but you'll eat a little more gas (city). On the highway, they're both pretty comparable to gas mileage. Basically, it's 21 hwy and 15 city. As far as comfort is concerned, it's got everything you'd expect.
