Us X5 -gps

Hello Everybody,

This is my first post to this forum! I am looking for some help.

I have a BMW (X5 3.0) purchased in the US. I am moving to Europe and taking the car with me. My problem is that the navigation CD (by Navteq) that I can buy here does not have the full European roadmap.

I can buy the full map in Europe. However, I was advised that this will not work in my US GPS system! Any thoughts on this, why this would be so? What is the solution? How can I make my European map work?

Thank yuo for your assistance.

Gabor
