buying 2002 x5 help

Hi All,

Just put a deposit down on an all black 2002 X5 3.0. Good condition body, interiror. Common things like worn door handles and cracked speaker grills. Body in good shape, couple dings, nothing major. A few scuffs on wheels. Full maintenance records indicate a lot of work on the stuff Ive seen complaints about (door regulators, hose clamps, thermostat, ball joint rattle, belt tensioner, leak in front headlight washer, and transmission leak).

Questions: Should I take it as a positive that all this work was done? And done at the dealer? Or, Should I worry that this is a problematic car? Lastly, is 17k a good deal for this truck with 60k local miles?

As long as you see all the recipts for the work and it has a full service history, dont see a problem with it,as for price cant really say as im in the U.K and with only 60k on the clock, you dont need to worry to much until it gets to approx 12000 when the water pump and pipes should be done.

"an all black 2002 X5 3.0"... Sounds nice, but as I guess you are talking about $17k, aren't you? Ofcourse it depeneds on the country, but I would say it's a bit too exensive for '02 car. Anyway, if you think it's good deal - go for it I would love to have a chance to buy one, but first I will need to sell my Honda Accord Actually, I would love to buy not X5, but BMW Gina - that would be awesome
