Any Buying Tips for 2001 X5 4.4?

I'm looking at buy a 2001 X5 as my DD. I would also use it for taking trips to tahoe in the snow. Any specifics I should be looking for? Control arm issues, CV shaft issues? Should it have been through any major service? Anything that should have been done? Currently looking for one with less than 80K miles. What normally goes wrong with this specific year and model that I should ask the owner if it's been fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
