2006 X5 3.0i color options???

So a lot of dealers are telling me that the 2006 3.0i doesn't come in the bright red without getting the sport package. We seem to have found a model without the sport package, but we're not sure if this particular dealer is lying to us about the color just to get us to buy one. So the question is can you get a 2006 x5 3.0i in a bright red color without throwing down the extra cash for the sport package?
