2002 X5 4.4 (AC has one speed???)

Hello All,

Quick question. Anyone know what might be the problem or part I need? When we turn on the ac in my wife's X5, it only has one level. You can no longer turn up the flow rate? I'm assuming there's some type of variable motor, for controling the fan speed.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Rob

Erik,

Thank you very much. That makes sense. So this is part is not specific to the speed of the ac, but just the blower in general? Hot or cold correct? I really appreciate the help. Seems pretty easy to get to as well.

No the resistor only controls the fan speed not the temp

No problem

A litle bad explained from my side, this component is the one that controls the blower, not the temperature, in 9 out of 10 times this is the fault.
