Which waxes/polishes/cleaning products do you use to keep your bm looking sweet?
I personally use Meguiars, I used to use Auto-Glym which was a good product, but when Meguiars decided to start selling their products in England, I thought I would give them a try.
And I was amazed with the difference, - I mean Auto-Glym was an excellent product in its own right - but noting at all like the quality of Meguiars - top product!.
I switched from Meguires to Griot's "Best of Show Wax". I just do not get the same depth out of anything else I have tried. The Griots Wax (you can find it here.) is a bit more expensive than most ($19.95 for 16 ounces) but a little goes a long way.
I got turned on to Griot's products from some guys who professionally show there cars. I am using Griot's products for most everything now - the quality is so consistent and the results are worth the extra.

Got some "Liquid Gold" from the Neilson guy the other day, it contains Carnuaba Wax which is supposed to be the finest wax available. Not too expensive either, I'll let you guys know if it is any good.
Yes, carnauba is very good stuff, but be careful using it in liquid form. The wax is a solid naturally, so in order to make it a liquid, its mixed with a lot of solvents which can decrease durability and its natural properties.
For me, its all subjective. If i'm looking for a little short-term depth and don't care about durability, its S100 all the way. You can get the stuff at your local harley dealer store. Its the same as P21S, just in different packaging, and $10-15 cheaper.
I've recently been doing my bmw, and a few of my customers cars with Einszett (1Z) Glanz Wax. Its interesting stuff ... one of a kind. Its a liquid with the consistency of water. I spray it on an applicator pad and apply ... goes on and comes off very easily. Its synthetic and is supposed to last longer than the average. Its not as durable as a polymer sealant, but its longer than carnaubas.
I still need to play with meg's NXT though ... i hear that for the most part, its the best you can get "off the shelf" from say, Autozone.
and schneider: he asked "which waxes/polishes/cleaning products do you use to keep your bm looking sweet?" he didn't ask "which is the best?" so either you don't use wax ... or you're too lazy to post it? no offense, but you already took the time to post *something* so why not just tell him what you use?

Personally, i love all meguiars products, I used the gold class wax for the longest time, and recently switched to a bottle of thier NXT wax. I do prefer the nxt wax slightly, but the shine is mostly similar.

keep in mind, the gold class wax is not a pure wax ... its a CLEANER Wax, so it contains cleaning and filling properties which add to the final look of the car. I believe that NXT is more of just a topper, w/ limited swirl-hiding properties and less cleaning properties. I've seen NXT on cars who were prepped w/ other polishes and it can do stuff that the Gold Class Cleaner Wax can never do.
When it comes to detailing ... to each his own. There are numerous combinations and posibilities for every car, every person. Lot of it is preference
