Sun Tan Oil On Black Trim?

one of my friends who has a E30 325es put sun tan oil(not lotion) on all of his black trim. it does work good, it makes it really shiny.
any else try it? just wanted to let you know.

Hmm... Sounds good using Sun Tan Oil, but does it work on the Plastic Trims? I'm not so sure trying yet but I will go try it on a car in the Junk Yard. Maybe I can test it that way or you can.

wont the oil make the plastic fade farster and crack over time??

I knew a friend woh used black boot polish, came up like a treat!

I've tried using black boot polish on black trims on several cars, it works but be careful to wipe off excess and on the paint. It works.
