What color car do you have? Well, not that it matters. Swirl Marks can be a pain to remove unless you use an abrasive and it's highly recommended that you use a orbital polisher to do it. I've tried plenty of different combo's on my various cars with very poor results. Find a good polish and you'll get rid of them. 3m Swirl-Mark remover isn't too bad. =)
