PAINT problems

i have a jet black 94 325i with gray colored paint on the bottm trim and im not sure what color code that is i have scratchs all around on it that id like to touch up its all stock paint im sure

color code should be on the front left (drivers) strut tower in the engine bay, or in the drivers door sill. 3 digit code. I.e. Steel Gray 400

I suspect that the trim piece started out as Jet Black, but has faded over the years.

Doesn't look faded to me. It's gray evenly all over. No faded areas.

I'd take it to a dealer and have them look up the paint code. It may be molded plastic so there is no paint code.

Worth a try to have the parts dept. look it up for you.

The part I think you are talking about is not painted, its just that color material.

Also, was that care ever involved in a wreck? I noticed it has the 97+grill and the headlights look almost new.

668 is jet black. if you want to paint over it.

if your talking about the grey, like the material around the foglights, that's the origional color. Ugly isn't it? BMW started painting the sideskirts the same color as the car a few years after they built yours.

Check that website for about 4 DIY grey sideskirt removal tutorials. There is paint undernieth that grey crap. (at least on the sides, I know)

yah you should really just look into painting the lower portion of the bumpers and sideskirts it will look alot better, also im pretty sure they are just molded plastic and have no paint on them

nope hasent been n a wreck thank god haha well my car has been painted and back to its normal state
