Want to clay my '98 528i (black exterior). The only clay bar at local car parts store (Autozone) was Mothers Clay Kit,contains clay bar/lubricant/and "sample" of wax.Is it worth the $15.00? And should I go ahead & buy Zymol wax (and not use Mothers sample,as it is probably not enough wax to cover car)?
Thanks for any help!
Mark

That little sample should be enough to do your car, its like what 3-4 oz? Just go with the Mothers, the Zymol isnt going to offer better protection. Consider a polish after claying for better results however......

Used Mother's clay bar and zymol wax over the weekend on my black 328i. Superb results! I was really pleased. Also used peanut oil on the vinyl trim, it looks great as they were getting rather dull.

I know someone who's car was so horrible, it was pealing and everything... he used the mothers clay bar kit thingy and the results were unbelieveable, it looked brand new! I think you're only supposed to use a clay bar when it's really really bad, though? Or was I misinformed?

i just bought some today. The clay takes off all of the contaminats on your paint. Its a small bar..as shown below that you clean the surface of your paint with. Make sure you read all directions on the box..you can really fuck up your paint otherwise.

Stuff is great. I just used it tonight, Ill post pics of the amzing outcome tomarow.
