How to clean the dashboard?

What's the best thing to use to clean the dashboard of my 540i? I currently wipe it down with a damp "Absorber" after washing the outside of vehicle. Is there something better? I don't want it to dry out, but I don't want to destroy it and by using something like Armoral on it

Get some Lexol vinyl/plastic cleaner/conditioner.
Check the Detailing FAQ section for more info on a bunch of products.

btw, I wouldn't use just a wet towel to clean it. Gotta use somethin' that protects it.

ya i use vinylex too it works great. somtimes i get carried away with it and vinylex everything that is vinyl or plastic, then my car really looks good. B)

Lexol's Vinyl/plastic protectant is called Vinylex ... but you're gonna want to clean it first with something. 303 Aerospace makes an amazin Protectant (called 303 Aerospace Protectant) and they have a similar cleaner as well.

For something simpler, mix some Woolite (yes, woolite) up in water in a 6:1 ratio. Spray a MF towel and wipe it all down first ... then put whatever protectant you want on ... like Vinylex or 303
